FMX has a storied history with Iron Maiden, and we’re ready to add another chapter.

I wish you could’ve been there back in the day. We had giant Eddies backstage peeking out at the crowd, those legendary twin guitars, and Bruce being as over-the-top as ever. We even set up a soccer match between Iron Maiden’s crew and the Texas Tech team — and yes, somewhere out there are some very questionable black-and-white photos to prove it.

At one point, FMX practically became a promotional arm for the band. That’s when I learned something important: sometimes greatness comes down to simple ideas. When Iron Maiden rolled through on the Piece of Mind tour, I saw the album cover and thought, “We need a straightjacket for the band to sign.” They loved it so much, we ended up helping supply straightjackets for the entire tour. At the next stop? Battle axes. And yes — it was every bit as awesome as it sounds.

Now you’ve got a chance to relive those memories — or experience Iron Maiden for the very first time — on the big screen.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t a concert film. Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition is a feature-length documentary, packed with behind-the-scenes moments, Eddie animation, and, of course, some performance footage. Don’t expect a mosh pit in the theater — but do expect to spend some time with a band that means as much to you as it does to us.
