Texas man arrested after firing AR-15-style rifle in Home Depot parking lot, police say

BASTROP, Texas (KBTX) – A Bastrop man was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after police say he opened fire with an AR-15-style rifle in the parking lot of a local Home Depot, prompting a multi-agency law enforcement response.

Bastrop’s police chief on social media identified the suspect as Kobe Lee Mosser, 25.

According to police, Mosser drove into the Home Depot parking lot and began firing the rifle indiscriminately. At one point, he exited his vehicle and continued shooting. Officers took Mosser into custody shortly after.

No injuries were reported.

The incident remains an active criminal investigation.
