The City of Austin is hosting its annual Career Expo on April 8 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Palmer Events Center. Here’s how it helps Keep Austin Hired.
More than 100 employers are expected to attend the expo, including city departments, state agencies, higher education and technical schools, temporary staffing agencies, and smaller businesses looking to fill customer service and labor positions.
The expo is free and open to the public. A professional photographer will be on-site to take headshots of attendees at no charge. City departments will conduct interviews and extend contingent job offers on-site.
There are close to 90 eligible job titles across accounting, customer service, finance, human resources, health care, engineering, and other operations roles.
The city’s goal in hosting the event is to provide job seekers of all backgrounds, including justice-involved individuals, veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities, with opportunities to find viable jobs by networking with employers and resource providers.
Register as a job seeker or employer online at austintexas.gov/careerexpo.
