FORT WORTH – Alene V. Few passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026. She went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of ninety-six years. At her request, a grave side service only will be held for her family. Alene was born in Lincoln County, Oklahoma on May 28, 1929. She was the youngest of eight children to the late Harry and Hattie Manuel Judd. Alene married her loving husband in 1947. He was in the United States Air Force, and they spent the 1950s in England with their two children. Alene was an amazing young woman who took her two young children to England by herself. She traveled by rail from Fort Worth to New York City, found lodging, got paperwork completed at the United States Embassy, and traveled by ship to England where her husband met her and took her to their new home. They came back to the states for a year and then were stationed in Hawaii during the time it became a state. They moved back to the United States in 1960 where they lived on Scott AFB, Illinois for one year. They returned to Fort Worth, Texas and lived here until their deaths. Alene loved cooking and baking, traveling, and spending time walking at the mall. She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, bowling, and teaching Sunday school, and was actively involved with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars. She had a love for people and, as a Child of God, now rests with Jesus in her heavenly home. She was predeceased by her loving husband W.M. Few of over sixty-four years. Alene will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gary Few and Vickie Graff; treasured grandchildren, Jason Strother and Amy Strother; beloved great-grandchildren, Josh Strother, Stanley, Hope Faulkner, and Jorden Strother; and her caring nieces and nephews, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her.
