SAN ANTONIO – Six Flags Fiesta Texas is tightening its rules as it looks to keep the park a family-friendly space.
Park officials announced an updated chaperone policy and reinforced behavior guidelines that will apply to all guests. The changes come as amusement parks and entertainment venues nationwide respond to an increase in disruptive incidents.
Because Six Flags is a family park, we expect guests to behave appropriately,” park officials said in a statement. “Unruly, disruptive or offensive behavior, including line-jumping and profanity, is strictly prohibited, and will not be tolerated.
Under the updated policy, guests 17 years old and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone at all times. The rule is in effect daily from open to close.
Each chaperone must be at least 18 years old and present a valid government-issued photo ID with a date of birth upon entry. One chaperone can supervise no more than five ახალგაზრდile guests.
Park officials said chaperones are required to enter with their group and remain with them throughout their visit. If a chaperone leaves or cannot be reached, the entire group could be removed from the park.
Guests 17 and older may also be asked to show identification to verify their age. Those who cannot provide ID could be denied entry unless they are accompanied by a qualifying chaperone.
Officials said any guest 17 or younger found inside the park without a chaperone will be subject to immediate removal.
The park added that violations of its policies — including disruptive behavior — could result in ejection without a refund.
“This policy applies to all guests attending Six Flags Fiesta Texas and is designed to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all,” the statement said.
The park said it may implement the chaperone policy earlier on certain days, with updates shared through its website, app, social media and on-site signage.
Officials said the changes are aimed at preserving the atmosphere visitors expect.
“We believe these updates will help preserve the positive atmosphere that millions of guests have come to expect where families and friends can make lasting memories together,” the park said.
