EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Two men were hospitalized after a stabbing on Wednesday night in Anthony, Texas.

Police were called around 11:00 p.m. to the 500 block of Franklin Street, where they found a 43-year-old and a 75-year-old suffering multiple stab wounds.

Both were treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.

Officers quickly identified and arrested a 30-year-old man who was still carrying the weapon believed to have been used. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The scene and investigation were turned over to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit. Police cleared the area at approximately 4:30 a.m.

Anthony Police Chief Carlos Enriquez praised his officers’ quick response, saying, “The safety of our residents remains our top priority, and we appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation.”

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and no further information is being released at this time.
