Davis shares what it’s like to bring one of literature’s most beloved stories to life on stage. “This version has some bluegrass music, like popular songs that you’ve probably heard growing up. Our Charlotte does silks as well. Very cool aerial tricks. It’s just a wholesome story about two unlikely friends who bring a community together.”

Liam offered a glimpse at how dual casting brings an extra challenge to the experience. “The roles are really interesting to play because they’re double cast. We have multiple people playing them. And so the process was a little difficult because you have to stay focused much of the time. Our director, Nat, will be like, ‘Hey, switch casts.’ “So you go and sit down, and it kind of feels like a break, but it isn’t really. You have to stay focused because the notes that the other person playing your role is getting are applied to you, too.”

Live music plays an important role in Zach’s production of “Charlotte’s Web,” adding another sensory layer to the experience.

“In our pre-show, we play popular songs,” said Davis, “Liam sings ‘Yellow Submarine.’ The kids love it. They know the songs and sing along. We have dances that go with it. It all kind of sets the scene for what the show’s going to be like.”
