We’ll get to meet this year’s San Antonio Missions team this week, with exhibition games scheduled for Friday and Saturday evening, and Sunday afternoon.
There are also some changes in the front office following the offseason.
David Gasaway is the team’s new general manager, though he’s anything but new to the organization. Gasaway has spent nearly 30 years with the Missions.
Max Sports recently caught up with him to talk about what it’s like being the new guy — without really being new at all.
Missions President Burl Yarbrough, a Texas League Hall of Famer, will transition into a new role as senior advisor for the club. He’ll assist with special projects, including the team’s upcoming move to a new downtown ballpark.
Gasaway will take over day-to-day front office operations while continuing in his role as general manager.
