Gymnast Simone Biles has lifted the lid on the design inspiration behind her bedroom in her custom Texas mansion—revealing that she told the team behind the creation of the luxurious property that she wanted the space to feel like a luxury hotel.

Biles, 29, and her husband, Jonathan Owens, 30, revealed in November that work on their lavish lakefront abode just outside of Houston had been completed. However, they were not able to move into the dwelling until February, when the NFL season came to an end.

Before that, the couple were largely based in Chicago, where Owens was playing for the Bears. He recently signed a new one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts, a move that will see him and Biles relocating to another state for the duration of the football season.

While they have already paid a quick visit to their new hometown, Biles has wasted no time in settling into their Spring, TX, dwelling—sharing a slew of images of the property as she and Owens work to make it their own.

Recently, she offered a glimpse of some of the most impressive amenities and features on offer in the home, revealing on her Instagram Stories that the primary suite comes complete with all manner of resort-style additions, many of which might not even be available at a five-star hotel.

Posting a video of her remote-control drapes opening up one morning, the three-time Olympian noted that she had asked her interior designer, Diamond Hadley, to create the ambiance that one might find at a top-rated resort.

“When we designed this bedroom, I told them I wanted it to feel like a hotel and it feels exactly like that,” Biles captioned the quick clip, which showed the curtains opening up to the couple’s beautiful outdoor patio overlooking their pool.

The gymnast has wasted no time in putting that pool to use, later sharing a photo of herself soaking up some rays on a lounger perched at the water’s edge, while one of her dogs lies alongside her.

Another photo showed two of the couple’s dogs sleeping under a beautiful marble table that sits on the covered patio, serving as the perfect place for al fresco dining—or for retreating from the heat of the Texas sun when poolside perching gets too much.

Set on the edge of the human-made lake, the pool looks out over the water and comes complete with a sizable spa, as well as several areas for entertaining or relaxing.

Remarkably, however, the pool is one of the more traditional features found at the home. Biles also revealed that the primary bathroom in the abode has been outfitted with a red light showerhead, an item that she appears to have sourced from Higher Dose, a company that specializes in infrared technology.

According to the brand’s website, its Red Light Showerhead Filter, which retails for $599, was designed to support “circulation, cellular energy, skin health, and overall balance.”

“The most powerful wellness practices are the ones you can actually do every day,” the website notes. “While red light therapy has incredible benefits, it often requires carving out extra time, which we don’t always have in our busy daily lives.

“We love taking time to relax and practice wellness rituals, but we know that’s not always possible. We kept asking ourselves, can we stack red light into a ritual that everyone does daily already?

“At the same time, we saw an unmet need in the shower space. Showering is one of the few rituals almost everyone does daily, yet most people are still bathing in water filled with chlorine, metals, and other contaminants that can quietly impact skin, hair, and overall well-being over time.

“Clean water matters and so does how we feel in the moments we slow down.”

Biles also took a moment to showcase a flashy new accessory that she and Owens had delivered to their property: a brand-new golf cart that they will likely use to tool around the local community.

Sharing a photo of the vehicle perched on a truck bed, the sporting superstar wrote: “Special delivery this morning.”

As for the more personal touches in their dwelling, Biles has begun adding nods to her impressive career inside her private office, which she revealed is now home to several framed accolades, including her Sports Illustrated cover from January 2025, when she was named as the magazine’s Sportsperson of the Year 2024.

Above that sits another Sports Illustrated cover, this time featuring Biles posing alongside her fellow Olympians Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky. They were hailed as “The Greatests: Stars of a Red Hot American Summer” after their stellar performances at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.

A poster from the Gold Over America Tour—a program that Biles began in September 2021, following that year’s Olympics in Tokyo—completes the trio of framed achievements.

While Biles and Owens have only a few months to relax during the NFL offseason, the gymnast appears to be taking full advantage of the time she can spend soaking up life in their new marital abode, which is located just 3 miles from her starter home.

The Olympian snapped up that property in July 2020—and it served as the couple’s primary residence while their custom mansion was being completed.

It’s unclear whether Biles plans to keep that dwelling now that their dream home is finished. Records show that it currently remains off the market.

She has previously admitted that they spent a lot longer residing in that property than they had originally planned, explaining that when their new home was finally completed, it had been a much more arduous process than she had realized.

At the time, the gymnast joked that she had been “lied” to by project managers who originally told her it would take nine months.

“Home building requires a lot of patience,” she wrote, while sharing a video of herself and Owens that was taken when only the framework of the home had been built.

“Started the design process in 2020 and took a year to complete,” she said of the first step they took in their homebuilding journey.

“Approvals took a while from [the] HOA; broke ground in Feb 2022; completed 11/11/25,” she added. “They lied when they said nine months to build!”

Still, the gold medalist was quick to voice her pride at having finally finished the mansion: “Anyways proud of us. ILYSM @jowens,” she wrote.

Luckily, it appears that both Biles and Owens are over the moon with the finished product—with the Olympian admitting that she was particularly thrilled with one space: the custom laundry room, which has been outfitted with two washing machines and two dryers so that she and her husband each have their own.

“Since Jonathan always wants to do laundry the exact same day as me,” Biles wrote while sharing a photo of the space. “Now [there is] one set for each of us.”

Among the home’s other unique amenities is a custom-built room for the couple’s dogs, which Biles revealed she decked out in the same black-and-white tile that they used on their lakefront swimming pool.

The space features a pet spa area as well as a built-in spot for the dogs’ bowls.
