Dropped out: Cedar Hill (19)

Notable: One Week 9 matchup determined not only which teams should be ranked No. 2 and No. 3, but also the top team in District 6-6A. Allen narrowly beat Prosper on Friday afternoon in a game that went down to the wire.

These teams are so close, it’s hard to rank one above the other, but Allen gets the nod — and our designation as team of the week — with its victory.

Notable: Colleyville Heritage continues to impress, moving into the top 10 this week with its win over Mansfield Summit.

Prosper Walnut Grove held off Lovejoy 29-26 to remain undefeated in District 4-5AII, and it faces perhaps its biggest test of the season in Week 10 against Melissa, which is also undefeated in the district and eyeing the title a year after missing the playoffs.
