Deputies arrived on scene to the home fully engulfed. LSO says ammunition inside the home was also igniting preventing crews from immediately entering.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, Shallowater, Wolfforth, Ransom Canyon, Abernathy, Idalou and New Deal fire departments all assisted.

Emergency crews shutdown parts of Milwaukee Ave. due to heavy smoke.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. LSO will not be releasing the victims name at this time.
