After record-breaking warmth in March, a cold front is sweeping in, bringing cooler temperatures and windy conditions.

A wind advisory is in effect for El Paso on Friday, March 27, for gusts of up to 55 miles per hour. Some of the Borderland, including the Hueco Tanks area and parts of Southern New Mexico, are under a high-wind warning, with gusts that could reach up to 65 miles per hour. A blowing dust advisory is also in effect for the Lordsburg area for low visibility.

Temperatures will also take a dip of up to 20 degrees after hovering near triple digits the last few weeks, according to the National Weather Service. The high in El Paso on Friday is expected to be 72 degrees, then slowly move into the 80s by early next week.
