A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing shows a new $7 million construction in the works for a project called, “Domain 9.5.” The two-story building, owned by Cousins Properties, will be located at 11815 Alterra Pkwy., Austin, TX 78758 and include four suites: 100, 110, 120 and 130.
Construction on the project is expected to begin in early June and is aiming to be finished by June 2027. While it’s unclear exactly what will be in this new building, it will be located near new high-rise office space that currently houses businesses like Amazon, Citizens Inc. and Southside Bank, according to Google Maps.
Domain 10 is a fully leased, 15-story office building that also shares the same address, 11815 Alterra Parkway, as these businesses. Endeavor Real Estate Group’s website says the property offers tall ceilings, structured parking, large 34,000-square-foot floor plans and more.
Last year, International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) announced plans to take over Meta’s former leasing space within the Domain 12 tower, which is also owned by Cousins Properties. While Domain 10 and 12 are obviously a much larger building than “Domain 9.5,” the project’s similar name titles could mean this new development may very well be a smaller version of what other office high rises in the area are offering.
