According to the permit, the renovation project will transform the warehouse space into a new Handies Duozo. It’s estimated to cost around $350,000, and is expected to be completed between mid-June and November. But beyond the permit, there aren’t any additional details or mention of the planned EaDo location on the restaurant’s website or social media accounts.
The filing comes just weeks after Handies Duozo announced it was expanding to Uptown, marking the chain’s fourth location and the first fine-dining concept in the Central Park Post Oak development. At that time, Duckstache Hospitality co-owner and chef Daniel Lee said “We’re really intentional about the neighborhoods we choose and where we think Handies Douzo will feel like a natural fit.”

Handies, run by Duckstache duo Daniel Lee and Patrick Pham, made its debut in Houston’s dining scene in December 2019.
