CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas (KPLC) – A man wanted for murder out of the Baton Rouge area has been arrested in Southeast Texas.
Tyren Scott, 30, of Baton Rouge, was wanted for murder by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, according to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 1:40 this afternoon, investigators learned Scott was traveling along I-10 through Chambers County, Texas, CCSO said. He had also been in Beaumont earlier that day, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
Authorities pulled over Scott in Chambers County and took him into custody, Beaumont police said. Authorities also found Scott had an “AR-style pistol.”

Scott was booked into the Chambers County Jail, where he remains at last check.
Several agencies were involved in Scott’s arrest, including the U.S. Marshals Service, the Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force, along with Beaumont police and CCSO.
