HOUSTON – The University of Houston Softball team dropped its second game of the weekend series, falling 11-0 against UCF at Cougar Softball Stadium on Saturday.
The Cougars (17-20, 1-10 Big 12) were blanked at the plate, held hitless after Isabella Vega’s perfect game carried the Knights (27-10, 5-6 Big 12) to a second win to take the weekend series.
Junior Gigi Solis held down the circle in relief after coming into the game in the third inning, tossing 3.0 scoreless IP while recording two strikeouts and giving up only one hit.
UP NEXT
Houston returns tomorrow for its series finale against UCF with first pitch set for noon, Sunday. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
