After scoring 10 runs Friday, the Aggies (21-5, 4-4 SEC) continued their offensive surge, recording 12 hits in the decisive victory over the Tigers (17-11, 1-7). It’s the third time the A&M has tallied double-digit hits since SEC play began.

First baseman Gavin Grahovac drove in five RBIs with two home runs. On Friday, he exited the game early due to an apparent hand injury, but he started Saturday’s game and helped the Aggies secure their first conference series win.

It’s Grahovac’s second multi-home run game of his career, with his first coming against Mississippi State in 2024.

A&M jumped on Missouri early, scoring two runs in the first inning.

Grahovac began the game with a walk. Then, second baseman Chris Hacopian singled to load the bases with one out. That was followed by left fielder Jake Duer singling down the left field line to score the game’s first run. Third baseman Nico Partida scored another with a fielder’s choice to third base, giving the Aggies a 2-0 lead.

The Tigers scored one run in the second inning to cut the deficit to 2-1.

However, A&M added seven more runs in the third inning, aided by a Duer double that drove in one. From there, back-to-back bases-loaded walks by right fielder Terrence Kiel II and catcher Bear Harrison brought in a pair.

Shortstop Boston Kellner lifted a sacrifice fly to left field to push across the inning’s fourth run before center fielder Caden Sorrell blasted a three-run home run to straightaway center field, increasing the Aggies lead to 9-1.

A&M added five more runs in the final six innings to pull away from Missouri. Hacopian and Duer each had three hits. Grahovac and Partida each had two, with all four of their hits being home runs, totaling a combined nine RBIs.

Aggies’ starting pitcher Weston Moss was strong for three innings before letting up three runs in the fourth and getting pulled from the outing. The right-hander lasted 3⅔ innings, allowing four runs and five hits, while striking out two batters with four walks on 72 pitches.

The Tigers’ starting pitcher, Brady Kehlenbrink, had a rough go of it. The left-hander gave up nine runs, six hits and walked four in three innings.

Next up for the Aggies is Sunday, as Aiden Sims gets the ball in Game 3 of the series, aiming to secure the series sweep.
