Dallas-based EOS Fitness is set to break ground on a 40,000-square-foot gym this April, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration (TDLR). The fitness center will include a roughly 2,500-square-foot outdoor exercise area (the information in TDLR filings is subject to change).
Construction on the new facility, planned at 1440 Heritage Oak Lane in Katy, is expected to last about a year, with EOS anticipating a 2027 opening date, according to its website. The buildout is estimated to cost about $6.4 million.
The 24-hour fitness chain offers strength training, group classes, fitness and nutritional coaching and a wide range of equipment the company touts as some of the best in the industry. Memberships allow visitors to “get premium health and fitness amenities … at an affordable price,” according to the EOS website.
The gym has become known in Houston not just for the equipment, but also for the culture. Its widely popularized Houston-area location along Allen Parkway—the subject of several viral TikTok videos—opened in 2023.
