Arlington police are investigating a shooting at an event venue that resulted in the death of a 32-year-old man early Sunday morning, according to a statement.

Officers responded to a reported shooting about 4:29 a.m. in the 1200 block of California Lane.

Police found multiple bullet casings in front of the business, the statement said. Witnesses told officials that a fight had broken out, during which an unidentified person fired multiple shots.

Police have not publicly said what led to the altercation.

Medical City Arlington staff alerted officers that an unidentified man with a gunshot wound was being treated in its emergency room, the statement said.

Police determined the man had been driven to the hospital from the scene by friends. He later died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made as of Sunday afternoon, according to the statement.
