The Denver Broncos got a big 44-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, but the victory came at a cost.

Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims entered the NFL’s concussion protocol, tight end/fullback Nate Adkins suffered a knee injury and star cornerback Pat Surtain was ruled out in the third quarter with a shoulder injury.

Denver defensive lineman D.J. Jones was also evaluated for a possible concussion during the game, and fellow defensive lineman Zach Allen received treatment from trainers, but both players later returned to action.

“[I’m] not going to discuss any of the players that were injured — at all,” coach Sean Payton said after the game.

Elsewhere on the injury front, tight end Lucas Krull — who is currently on injured reserve with a foot injury — will undergo surgery early this week. It’s to-be-determined if it will be a season-ending surgery for Krull.

The Broncos will practice next Wednesday and we should get more updates on the injury front then. News on Surtain might arrive sooner, depending on the severity of the injury.
