A law enforcement officer had his personal vehicle struck by gunfire while working traffic control on Interstate 35 on the Northeast Side.
The shooting was reported around 8:24 p.m. Saturday, near Interstate 35 North and Walzem Road, San Antonio police said.
The officer was using his personal vehicle to block traffic with emergency lights activated when he heard a loud sound outside the vehicle.
After getting out to check, the officer saw that the vehicle had been hit by gunfire, police said. No injuries were reported at the scene.Â
No suspect was identified by police. The report did not identify which department the officer is with.Â
San Antonio police documented the incident, which remains under investigation.
