The March Madness action continued Monday as the Elite Eight wraps with two marquee matchups. In the first game, Texas absolutely demolished Michigan by 36 points to secure its spot in the Final Four. The Longhorns will take on UCLA on Friday for a spot in the national championship game.

Next up, No. 1 South Carolina takes on No. 3 TCU in the Sacramento 4 region. South Carolina is a 14.5-point favorite over TCU.

South Carolina finds itself in unfamiliar territory down 6-0 early in the first quarter. But Olivia Miles just picked up her second foul, will be something to watch.

Texas forward Madison Booker is the region’s Most Outstanding Player. She’s joined on the all-tournament team by teammates Rori Harmon and Jordan Lee, and Michigan’s Olivia Olson and Syla Swords.

Oh, they had these Texas songs READY in the arena.

That’ll do it from Fort Worth, as Texas secures a commanding win over Michigan and heads to Phoenix to take on UCLA in the Final Four. Madison Booker put up 19 points, Justice Carlton had 15 and Kyla Oldacre had 12. The Longhorns held Michigan’s trio of Olivia Olson, Syla Swords and Mila Holloway to just 30 points combined.

Sarah Graves comes in for the Longhorns, and you know what that means — Texas has this one locked up.

Michigan has not scored in the fourth quarter, and this one is officially out of hand.

A Kyle Oldacre and-1 gives Michigan a 32-point lead, and the Longhorns are rolling.

Mon, March 30, 2026 at 5:37 PM PDT

We are officially in blowout territory. Kyla Oldacre showed out in the third quarter on both ends of the floor, and Texas is shooting 48% to Michigan’s 21%, less than half of their season average 46%.

Texas is beginning to pull away even more in the final minutes of the third quarter, as Madison Booker just dropped in back-to-back pull-up jumpers to make it 19 points on the day. Texas’ physicality is just too much for Michigan.

Texas and Michigan are a combined 3-of-22 from 3-point range. Quite a few now have gone all the way around, only to eventually pop out. Do we think Geno is adding this to his sheet?

Olson finally got her first field goal of the game, and while both teams look a bit out of sorts to start the third quarter, that may work in Michigan’s favor.

Mon, March 30, 2026 at 5:12 PM PDT

Michigan seemed to be finding some momentum, and Texas’ shooting cooled off at the end of the first half. Will that continue?

Mon, March 30, 2026 at 4:56 PM PDT

It’s become the Madison Booker show in Fort Worth. The Longhorns star has 15 points and is playing on another level, as the Wolverines have struggled mightily with their efficiency, going just 7 of 33 from the field. Syla Swords is MIchigan’s leading scorer with 12 points on 3 of 12 shooting.

Mon, March 30, 2026 at 4:49 PM PDT

Syla Swords is the Wolverines’ leading scorer (5 points), but she’s 2-for-10 from the field, while Olivia Olson is 0-for-6. Mila Holloway is 2-for-8.

It’s a very Texas crowd here a couple of hours from Austin. For the first time this weekend, the crowd is predominately in one color. But it’s still not a sellout, continuing the concerning attendance numbers at these regional sites. There are a lot of empty lower bowl seats in an arena with a capacity around 14,000.

Michigan seemed like it was settling in a bit at the end of the first quarter. Can they carry it into the second?

Michigan just about doubled their rebounding total on one possession that started when Texas couldn’t break the press. The Wolverines are showing a little life here at the end of the first.

Mila Holloway breaks through with a layup for Michigan, while Texas finally missed a shot. But Jordan Lee quickly followed it up with a jumper, and Texas is up 20-6.
