SAN ANTONIO – The City of San Antonio is making a bold promise as it kicks off its annual Pothole Patrol Blitz on Wednesday, saying it will repair every reported pothole within two working days.

The Public Works Department will launch the 10th Annual Pothole Patrol Blitz at San Pedro Springs Park. The monthlong effort challenges residents to help locate and report potholes, with a goal of fixing more than 10,000 across the city.

Reports can be made by calling 3-1-1 or using the 311SA app.

City officials say community participation is key to maintaining safe roadways. The San Antonio Pothole Patrol, managed by the Public Works Streets Division, receives about 500 calls each month through the 3-1-1 system.

Public Works crews work year-round to identify and repair potholes, with 11 teams completing more than 70,000 repairs annually. That includes both resident-reported issues and potholes found during routine inspections.

The kickoff event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the San Pedro Playhouse parking lot inside San Pedro Springs Park. Representatives from Public Works and the 3-1-1 department will speak, and the first 100 residents will receive a special Pothole Patrol Fiesta medal.
