The 32-year-old man who died after a fight escalated into a shooting at an Arlington event venue early Sunday morning has been identified.
Karri Viswanath died at 4:43 a.m. in the Medical City Arlington emergency room, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Arlington officers responded to a reported shooting about 4:29 a.m. in the 1200 block of California Lane, according to a previous statement.
Police found multiple bullet casings in front of the business, the statement said. Witnesses told officials that a fight had broken out, during which an unidentified person fired multiple shots. Officials have not publicly said what led to the fight.

Medical City Arlington staff alerted officers that Viswanath was being treated for a gunshot wound in its emergency room, the statement said.
Police determined Viswanath was driven to the hospital after the shooting by friends. He later died of his injuries.
No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning.
