Plano police say a 74-year-old bicyclist was hit by a vehicle Sunday morning in the area of South Hale and East Dearborn streets.

It happened around 10:20 a.m.

Police say the bicyclist was heading east on Dearborn when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by a southbound vehicle on Hale Street. The cyclist was taken to Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora for treatment. No one in the vehicle was hurt.

No tickets were written.
