This will come in the form of support for instructors, professional development and ongoing progress monitoring, administrators said.
Why now?
These campuses were identified for improvement based on state and federal accountability requirements, or because a recent grant award required them.
Anderson Mill and Joe Lee Johnson received “F” ratings for 2025, while Callison received a “D,” district documents show. Based on accountability standards, these campuses require improvement plans.
Bluebonnet also scored a “D,” while Wells Branch and Deerpark earned “C” ratings. In addition to performance requirements, the district was also selected to receive a combined total of $1.3 million in LASO 3 IL grant funds to support instructional leadership for some of these campuses, requiring additional oversight, Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez said.
