A man was killed in a shooting early Wednesday on the East Side, the San Antonio Police Department said.
Officers responded just after 1:15 a.m. to shots fired in the 1500 block of Center Street near N. Mittman Street, according to a preliminary police report.
They found a 31-year-old man with several gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body.
Witnesses told police they heard gunfire and saw a black sedan driving away.
Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. He will be identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner, which will determine his cause and manner of death.
Police have not located a suspect in the shooting and said the investigation is ongoing.
