Four Plano restaurants were temporarily closed due to various health violations, according to the inspection reports.
There were 161 inspections conducted between March 15 and March 21, according to the data compiled by the Star-Telegram.
The city of Plano scores restaurants on a 100-point system, with 100 considered a perfect score and 70 extremely poor.
Four eateries were closed during this inspection cycle:
Jaffa Joint at 2400 K Ave. Suite B scored 46 and was temporarily closed after health inspectors observed inadequate handwashing facilities and the food establishment permit was suspended. The restaurant reopened after a follow-up inspection and the food establishment permit was reinstated.
Ztao Marketplace at 2049 Coit Road Suite 300, that scored 54 and 55, was temporarily closed after the market added an unpermitted serving line and did plumbing work without the approval of the city of Plano. Health inspectors ordered the plumbing works to be reverted before the establishment reopened.
The hand sink and three-compartment sink in the produce prep area have been fixed and are fully operational, allowing the area to reopen for food production. The unpermitted section of the establishment has been removed and restored to its original condition, health inspectors noted.
Red Lobster at 3501 N Central Expressway, was temporarily closed after a sprinkler head near the back walk-in cooler was activated. The Fire Department had to shut off the system due to an existing pipe issue. The restaurant reopened with a score of 100.
Anjappar at 4940 Mcdermott Road Suite 200 was temporarily closed due to lack of hot or cold running water in the kitchen hand sink. The restaurant scored 69 and was ordered to pay $85 re-inspection fee before scheduling a follow-up.

Tortas Gigantes Perez Usa at 2405 E Plano Parkway, Plano. Score: 7.
Sichuan Pepper House at 151 W Spring Creek Parkway Suite 511. Score: 77.
Grandy’s at 620 E 15Th Street. Score: 78.
The Original Pancake House at 5760 State Highway 121 Suite 125. Score: 79.
