Megan Thee Stallion said she thought she “was gonna faint onstage” after falling ill during a performance of “Moulin Rouge!” on Broadway.

The Houston rapper shared an update with fans Wednesday morning on Instagram.

“Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’t. Hotties I wanna be real with y’all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting yall down,” she wrote.

Megan said she needs “just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been.”

She is scheduled to be back in the show on Thursday and will be “stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve.”

According to a spokesperson for Megan, she was diagnosed with “extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms.” She was treated and discharged.

“Moulin Rouge!” marks Megan’s Broadway debut in the role of nightclub owner Zidler. She is scheduled to be in the show through May 17 and will be out for two shows on May 2. Though this is her first stage credit, she previously appeared in the movie “Dicks: The Musical.”
