LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats are set for week three of the 2026 outdoor season this week, with a trip to Austin, Texas on the horizon for the annual Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium on April 1-4.
In their last time out, the Wildcats broke two more program records, including Ed Bird breaking his own record in the men’s 5000m and freshman Doricah Minsari Isoe, in just her second career race, broke the women’s 1500m record with a time of 4:10.39.
Today, the USTFCCCA dropped the first rankings checkpoint for the 2026 outdoor season, with Kentucky featuring in the top 10 in both polls, coming in at No. 8 on the men’s side and No. 10 on the women’s.
39 athletes will be making the trip to Austin to compete in 33 total events across the four-day meet.
This week, the Cats will be competing against fellow SEC programs Alabama, Missouri and host Texas, along with power conference schools such as Baylor, Cincinnati, Clemson, Houston, Iowa, Louisville, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, Washington and Virginia Tech.
Day one of the Texas Relays will kick off tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. ET, starting with Dahlia Beasley and Julia Gunnell competing in the 100m hurdles, the opening event of the women’s pentathlon.
