The FIFA World Cup 2026 lineup is set, spotlighting Houston with high-stakes matches, including Portugal vs. DR Congo, and drawing millions of fans globally.
HOUSTON — The full lineup for the FIFA World Cup 2026 is now set, and Houston’s match schedule is officially taking shape with several high-profile international showdowns confirmed.
Tournament organizers announced the final qualification spot was secured by Iraq after a Play-Off Tournament win over Bolivia, wrapping up a global qualifying campaign that spanned 899 matches over 937 days and produced more than 2,500 goals.

With the field finalized, two additional matchups at NRG Stadium — referred to as Houston Stadium during the tournament — have been confirmed:
June 17: Portugal vs. DR Congo (Group Stage)June 20: Netherlands vs. Sweden (Group Stage)
