In a viral TikTok video that now has over 1 million views, two cars can be seen stopping traffic on Interstate 35W in Fort Worth while two people exchange a bottle of alcohol through a window.
The video recorded by Christina Marquez shows that a passenger was handing off a bottle of liquor to the driver of the other vehicle while multiple cars were stuck behind them.
In a conversation with the Star-Telegram, Marquez said she was about to take the exit from I-35W toward U.S. 287, Rosedale Street and Allen Avenue in south Fort Worth to take her kids to a museum on Sunday, March 29, when she saw the unusual exchange.

Marquez said she was just trying to get off the exit while other drivers were honking at the cars blocking their way, “but we all know we have to be careful honking in DFW because of road rage incidents, so I just waited and continued on my way.”
The Fort Worth Police Department wrote in a social media post that police were made aware of the video. Holding up traffic on any road to do a “handoff” between cars is illegal, the department said, adding, “Several of y’all have brought this to our attention and we can’t believe that we have to say this…”
