If you happened to spend part of your spring break on South Padre Island, you might have had an “as seen on TV” moment. That’s because you may have seen a “bombshell.”

Iris Kendall, the 26-year-old social media influencer and spray tan artist who competed on season 7 of Love Island USA last summer, made an appearance at the best beach in Texas during spring break last month. Kendall’s trip wasn’t made on a whim, nor was it a fluke. Instead, it was actually part of a promotional partnership with Smirnoff Ice, which launched a new variety pack of drinks called the Smirnoff Ice Icy Island Variety Pack.

The variety pack includes flavors like Paradise Punch, Tropical Tiki, Strawberry Sunset and Watermelon Wave. As part of the product launch, Smirnoff teamed up with Love Island stars, like Kendall, Nic Vansteenberghe and Jeremiah Brown, to visit some of the hottest spring break destinations across the country.

“We’re bringing a taste of the tropics to wherever fans are this summer,” Smirnoff Ice director Fergus McCarthy said in a news release. “From beach hangs and boat days to kicking back with friends at home, Icy Island captures the vacation vibes we all crave.”

On South Padre Island, Kendall put her skills as the former owner of 310 Glo, a Beverly Hills, California-based mobile spray tan business, to use by offering spring breakers spray tans just feet from the surf.

“Iris Kendall brought the glow, treating beachgoers to impromptu free spray tans while serving up Smirnoff Ice Icy Island along the way,” Smirnoff officials said.

Kendall starred in season 7 of Love Island USA, which was filmed in a custom oceanfront villa in Fiji in June and July 2025. Kendall first appeared on the show on day 9 as a so-called “bombshell” — a surprise contestant that comes into the competition at an unexpected moment. She wound up making it to fourth place with partner Pepe Garcia-Gonzalez. However, the couple broke up soon after the season ended.

Kendall ultimately reconnected with fellow season 7 costar, TJ Palma — something the pair made official via a series of romantic photos on Instagram in late November. The pair began filming season 2 of Love Island: Beyond the Villa around the same time, NBC announced. The first episode of the spinoff series premieres on Peacock on Wednesday, April 15.
