CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 28-year-old man has died following a shooting incident on Sharpsburg Road late Sunday night, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department. Officers responded to the scene at 11:40 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, officers administered life-saving measures until medics arrived, stated the department. Multiple individuals were detained at the scene, and the Criminal Investigations Division was called due to the nature of the incident. It was determined that a disturbance had occurred, leading to the production of a weapon. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The police department described the event as an isolated incident and confirmed that an active investigation is ongoing.
