Ella Langley just released the music video for her smash hit song “Choosin’ Texas,” and she chose to film it in Fort Worth.
The chart-topping song finds Langley lamenting a lost love on a Texas dancefloor: “She’s from Texas, I can tell by the way/He’s two-stepping ‘round the room,” the first lines of the chorus go.
The dancehall in the music video is none other than the storied, 65-year-old Stagecoach Ballroom in Fort Worth, located at 2516 E. Belknap St.
“The video captures the spirit of Texas through the lens of Fort Worth’s legendary Western heritage and live music scene,” an emailed news release from Visit Fort Worth says. “The project spotlights Fort Worth as the ultimate Western destination.”
Langley co-directed the video, along with Wales Toney and Caylee Robillard.
Eagle-eyed viewers will also notice a few familiar faces, like Luke Grimes from “Yellowstone” and “Marshals”; Ava Phillippe (Reese Witherspoon’s daughter); several country stars, like Kaitlin Butts, Casey Donahew, Wade Bowen, Mike Ryan, Shea Fisher, Tanner Usrey and “Choosin’ Texas” co-writer Miranda Lambert; and rodeo stars like JB Mauney, Dale Brisby, Tyson Durfey, Shad Mayfield and Leighton Berry.
‘Choosin’ Texas’ and ‘Dandelion’
“Choosin’ Texas” is the first single from Langley’s new album “Dandelion,” which comes out Friday, April 10. The song is certified platinum — meaning it has sold 1 million copies — and spent weeks on the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 charts. Langley made history with the song when she became the first woman to lead the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts at the same time.
Langley will go on tour for the “Dandelion” album, with an end-of-the-tour stop in Fort Worth at Dickies Arena on Aug. 15, 2026. She previously sold out a show at Billy Bob’s in October 2025.
The Stagecoach Ballroom will host a “Dandelion” listening party on Friday, April 10, with exclusive merchandise, albums for sale and a live music show with country music cover songs. Doors open for the event at 6 p.m., wiht dance lessons from 6:30-7:70 and the listening party at 8 p.m.
