EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Power has been restored after a crash involving an 18-wheeler and a vehicle caused an outage on Thursday, April 2, according to the El Paso Police Department.

The crash happened at 11751 Gateway Boulevard West, near Lee Trevino.

According to a spokesperson by the El Paso Fire Department, the call happened shortly before 8 p.m.

No injuries were reported, EPFD said.

In a video on social media, you can see a vehicle on its side. Later, a broken light pole leaning on the semi truck. People are seen dining in restaurants in complete darkness and a movie theatre had to evacuate its customers.

El Paso Electric reported that about 2,300 customers were without power. After about 2 hours, services were restored.
