Thousands of people lined streets in downtown San Antonio on Friday for the annual passion play, which depicts the trial, suffering and death of Jesus Christ as a procession.
The production of the passion of the Christ has been held downtown on Good Friday since the 1980s, led by parishioners from the San Fernando Cathedral and other volunteers.
The procession started at Travis Park and ended in Main Plaza, concluding in front of the cathedral.
A recording of the play is available on Catholic Television of San Antonio’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
