The Corpus Christi Hooks fell to 0-2 on the season with a 10-2 loss to Frisco Friday night at Whataburger Field.
The Hooks got a decent start from Brandon McPherson in his Double-A debut. McPherson struck out seven in four-plus innings of work, but did surrender three runs in the fifth before getting pulled. Relievers Ramsey David and Alex Santos II also struggleds in the inning, with David giving up six runs and Santos II another to total seven in the inning for the RoughRiders.
Corpus Christi was limited to just six hits in the night as the Hooks have scored just two runs combined in the first two games of the season. G-P grad Walker Janek is still looking for his first hit in Double-A after an 0-3 night.
The Hooks and RoughRiders will close out the opening series Saturday at 7 PM.
