Founded in Austin in 2010, Deep Eddy Vodka has maintained a presence in the area around Buda and Dripping Springs. But its time in Dripping Springs appears to be coming to an end, as the Texas brand announced it’ll be shuttering the Dripping Springs tasting room this summer.
According to Deep Eddy, a new tenant is taking over the sublease agreement at the Dripping Springs location at 2250 U.S. 290. The Dripping Springs location originally functioned as a production facility, but later evolved into a tasting room and visitor center once most production was centralized at the Buda facility.Â
The tasting room will officially close on June 13, but Deep Eddy will not be involved in operations at the Dripping Springs location after July 31. From the brand’s perspective, they’re using the opportunity to increase their presence in Austin, where it all started.
“Deep Eddy Vodka is all about good times and bringing people together,” Brand Director Julie Cole said in a statement. “Austin is where this brand got its start, and we’re excited to bring more of that energy back to the city.”
Deep Eddy will continue to craft its vodka from the distillery in Buda, maintains an office in Austin, and regularly holds additional events and partnerships throughout there as well
Originally named after the team’s favorite swimming hole, Deep Eddy crafts vodka in small batches and offers flavors such as Original, Lemon, Lime, Pineapple, and Ruby Red Grapefruit, some of which have been recognized with platinum and double gold designations from the 2025 Spirits International Prestige Awards. At the moment, Deep Eddy Vodka is now a nearly 1.8 million-case brand.
