EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Lumber yard and building supply company 84 Lumber has continued to operate since sustaining fire damage at its long-standing store in El Paso’s Upper Valley.
The fire happened on March 7, but the company has continued to keep the store open and serve its El Paso customers at 122 McCutcheon Lane.

84 Lumber made a $5,000 donation to the men and women at Fire Station No. 2 after a fire damaged their store on March 7.
84 Lumber still open after fire but plans to expand
84 Lumber, which is based in Pennsylvania, as a way of saying thank you, made a donation this week to the El Paso Fire Department, giving the local firefighters $5,000 as a show of appreciation.
The donation was made on Thursday, April 2 at Fire Station 2.
“We’re incredibly thankful for the first responders who acted quickly and with urgency,” said El Paso store manager Julian Tobias. “Our team hasn’t missed a beat. We’re still showing up every day and continuing to support the builders, contractors, and families who rely on us.”
The company has been operating in the El Paso area since 1981. As the company begins rebuilding, the company will also be expanding the store. A grand reopening celebration will take place in the future.
“We’re already working on plans for the future of this location,” Tobias said. “Stay tuned as we share a first look at what’s next.”
