Flour Bluff has gone a perfect 5-0 against Alice recently and they’ll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hornets will venture away from home to square off against the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

On Thursday, Flour Bluff got the win against Ray by a conclusive 15-8. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Sidney Gerlach, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Addison Mayo was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

Flour Bluff kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That’s the most hits they’ve managed all season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Alice sidestepped Ray for a 10-9 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Dalyhla Sanchez was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Madison Padron, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Flour Bluff’s record is now 19-9-1. As for Alice, their record now sits at 8-16.

Tuesday’s contest will be a test for both teams’ pitchers. Flour Bluff hasn’t had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .373. However, it’s not like Alice struggles in that department as they’ve averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Flour Bluff got the ‘W’ when the teams last played back in March against Alice by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won’t have the home-field advantage this time around. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
