An injury-plagued season for Daniel Gafford continued on Sunday.

The Mavericks center exited their game against the Lakers early, the team announcing that he was ruled out with a shoulder strain.

Early in the fourth quarter Gafford went up for a rebound opposite the Lakers’ Rui Hachimura and appeared to tweak his shoulder. He exited toward the locker room and shortly after was ruled out by the team.

Gafford finished the game with seven points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes. He’s dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season, including multiple shoulder issues. He exited early on March 23 against the Warriors with a shoulder contusion and March 31 against the Bucks with a stinger.
