EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso students and families are invited to take part in an interactive arts and education event that highlights the connection between music and STEAM fields. The El Paso Chapter, The Links, Incorporated, will host “Celebration of the Arts through Music” on April 11, 2026, at the Boys and Girls Club of El Paso.

The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and is designed to inspire students by showcasing how music intersects with science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Attendees will be able to participate in three workshops led by accomplished musicians and industry professionals.

Featured presenters include Grammy Award-winning cellist Zuill Bailey; jazz pianist and producer Billy Townes; music theory professor Abeni Janae; former broadcaster and on-air personality Felipa Solis; and vocalist and nonprofit leader Linda Wolfe.

Organizers say the program is intended to help students discover potential career paths that combine creativity with technical skills, including sound engineering, music technology, and composition. In addition to learning from professionals, participants will hear personal career journeys and gain insight into how artistic passions can translate into future opportunities.

Pre-registration for the event was required by April 4, and space is limited. Community members are encouraged to attend with family and friends for what organizers describe as a dynamic and inspiring afternoon focused on creativity, innovation, and learning.
