A Dallas County jury returned a guilty verdict and life sentence for Webber, holding him responsible for the deadly crash during a police chase that spanned from Fort Worth all the way into Dallas. The crash eventually resulted in a wrong-way crash along the Interstate 35E service road. The crash took the life of 36-year-old Joel Jusino, a U.S. Air Force veteran from Chicago.

The driver of the stolen car, identified as 35-year-old Devonte Webber, was arrested and has been charged with murder and evading arrest with a vehicle causing death. The guilty verdict was returned late last week.
Jusino’s family told NBC 5 he left behind a young son and a girlfriend.
