LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Fresh off a sweep of the BYU Cougars, to go with a thirteen-game winning streak, Texas Tech softball (38-2, 14-1 Big 12) remains at number two in the newest Softball America poll.
Alabama (35-3) has now jumped to the top spot, especially after taking two of three from the previous No. 1 Texas Longhorns (32-4), who have since dropped to No. 4. Oklahoma (38-3) is ranked No. 3 and Nebraska (30-6) is No. 5.
Other Big 12 schools include:
No. 12 Arizona (29-8), No. 19 UCF (30-10-1), No. 20 Oklahoma State (25-10), and No. 23 Kansas (23-11).
After a brief Easter break, the No. 2 Red Raiders will return to the diamond this weekend for a three-game series at Utah. First pitch set for 6 p.m. Friday at Dumke Family Softball Stadium.
