In 2027, both the southern and northern sharp corners of Ammann Road in Fair Oaks Ranch are planned to be softened during the road reconstruction project.

Fair Oaks Ranch City Council on April 2 approved an agreement with Kendall County to soften the northern sharp curve near the upcoming elevated water storage tank.

The details

The Ammann Road Reconstruction project is funded through 2024 bonds approved by Fair Oaks Ranch voters.

As part of a development agreement between the Post Oak Development and the city, the southern sharp curve of Ammann Road is planned to be softened during the reconstruction project.

An interlocal agreement April 2 includes the northern curve in the project, softening all of the sharp corners of Ammann Road within the Fair Oaks Ranch city limits.

Public Works Director Grant Watanabe said the agreement would have the county and city split the cost of the curve softening, which is expected to total $300,000. Upon completion, the city will maintain the road within city limits, while the county maintains the road outside of city limits.

City staff said the project is expected to begin in early 2027.
