1. Bee Cave advances shifts to The Village at Spanish Oaks
Bee Cave City Council approved a number of changes to The Village at Spanish Oaks mixed-use development at its Feb. 24 meeting.
Although the maximum building area for the 18-acre site is unchanged at 1.96 million square feet, the amendments alter how many senior living, multifamily and hotel units are permitted. The changes also adjust roadway plans to include a roundabout and left-hand turn lanes, according to city documents.
2. Final vision for alternative to Hwy. 71 approved in Bee Cave
Several changes to Bee Cave’s Thoroughfare Plan were approved at the March 24 Bee Cave City Council meeting, marking updates to the city’s future transportation goals in the area.
The revisions are part of the city’s Thoroughfare Plan, which outlines goals, plans and projects for future mobility improvements in the area.
The approved changes include the final alignment for a Southwest Collector, two new neighborhood collectors and more.
3. The League Kitchen & Tavern to close in Lakeway; Cousin Louie’s location announced
Following 15 years in the area, The League Kitchen & Tavern closed its Lakeway location Feb. 25 after normal business hours.
“It has been an incredible honor to serve this community and to be part of so many celebrations, traditions, and memories made within these walls,” business officials wrote in a Facebook post Feb. 20.
Although T4C & Co closed its Lakeway location of The League Kitchen & Tavern, T4C will begin a new chapter with the opening of Italian-American restaurant Cousin Louie’s, according to the business.
