UTA gears up for a week of sports as the women’s basketball team begins preseason play while women’s golf and tennis wrap up their fall seasons.

Here is the schedule for Tuesday through Monday.

Women’s golf

The women’s golf team will kick off its final competition of the fall season Tuesday. The team will participate in the 36-hole Bear Brawl tournament hosted by Baylor University at Ridgewood Country Club in Waco, Texas.

Women’s basketball

The women’s basketball team will host the University of New Mexico in its home opener exhibition match at 5 p.m. Tuesday at College Park Center.

Men’s tennis

Men’s tennis will travel to Southern Methodist University on Thursday for its four-day Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge tournament in Dallas.

The team is coming off the Atlantic Sun Conference Individual Tournament, which started last Thursday. The final rounds concluded Sunday in Jacksonville, Florida.

Women’s tennis

Women’s tennis will gear up for Texas State University’s States Up Slam tournament starting Saturday in San Marcos, Texas. The two-day competition will conclude the team’s fall season.

Volleyball

The volleyball team will take on Tarleton State University at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mavoween Night at College Park Center. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+.

To close out the week, the team will take on Abilene Christian University at 7 p.m. Saturday at Moody Coliseum in Abilene, Texas.

Cross-country

The cross-country team will host the Western Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Friday at the Harold Patterson Sports Center in Arlington. The men’s 8K will jump-start the event at 9 a.m., followed by the women’s 6K at 10 a.m.
