The pizza shop—called Pope’s Pizza—is now dishing up classic Italian-style pizzas just off of Hwy. 281 in Northern San Antonio.

In case you missed it

Pope’s Pizza Place opened to the public in March, restaurant staff told Community Impact. A grand opening event was held on March 24, according to their Facebook page.

The restaurant was previously known as Hungry Howie’s before their contract with the regional franchise ended, according to signage posted at the business.

The pizza parlor is located at 13486 San Pedro Ave., Ste. 103, in the shopping center across from Target on Bitters Road in North San Antonio.

Locally-owned by the Pope family, the pizza parlor originally announced the ownership change and opening back in December.

On the menu

On the menu at Pope’s Pizza Parlor is an assortment of pizzas, pasta, garlic knots, wings, salads and more.

There’s also a build-your-own pizza option available, according to the menu.
