EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso singer-songwriter Julián Kalel is thanking fans and looking ahead after his recent elimination from American Idol on Monday, sharing a heartfelt message of gratitude and resilience following his departure from the competition.

Kalel, who advanced deep into Season 24 and reached the Top 14 contestants, was eliminated during the latest round of voting, ending his run on the national stage.

Shortly after the episode aired, Kalel took to social media to address supporters, writing: “Thank you for your votes, your voices, your support, and for believing in me since the very beginning. Journey ain’t over yet love every single one of y’all.”

The El Paso native previously stepped away from the show during an earlier season to focus on his mental health, later returning stronger and more determined.

During his comeback this season, he advanced into the Top 30 and used his performances to speak openly about anxiety, depression, and healing—topics he has consistently championed through his music.

While his time on American Idol has come to an end, Kalel made it clear this is only the beginning.

Known for blending emotional storytelling with advocacy, he has repeatedly emphasized that his mission extends beyond the show—using music to inspire hope and encourage conversations about mental health.
